Best For:
The IM2 Get Ready Cohort focuses on the geometry and reasoning skills students need at the start of Integrated Math 2. We begin with the triangle congruence skills students are expected to bring from IM1, then build into triangle relationships, quadrilaterals, similarity, and early right-triangle readiness.
Students review triangle angle relationships, congruent triangles, SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, right triangle congruence, isosceles and equilateral triangles, and coordinate proof readiness.
Students build reasoning with perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, medians, altitudes, triangle inequalities, indirect proof, and relationships within and between triangles.
Students strengthen properties of parallelograms, rectangles, rhombi, squares, trapezoids, and kites while practicing how to justify conclusions from definitions and theorems.
Students connect dilations, scale factor, similar polygons, similar triangles, triangle proportionality, and early right-triangle tools such as the Pythagorean Theorem.
We find the reasoning mistake behind the wrong answer.
Students solve targeted geometry problems that reveal whether the issue is vocabulary confusion, theorem misuse, weak diagram interpretation, or a deeper proof gap.
We reteach the missing idea using diagrams, marked figures, theorem comparisons, and guided reasoning.
Students practice varied problems so they can transfer the reasoning to new diagrams, proofs, similarity problems, and tests.
IM2 begins with geometry reasoning. Students are no longer just finding an answer — they must justify why the answer is true. A student may know formulas but still struggle when a problem asks for proof, theorem selection, similarity reasoning, or diagram interpretation. This cohort helps students build those habits before school pace increases.
Angles of triangles, congruent triangles, SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, right triangle congruence, isosceles and equilateral triangle reasoning, and coordinate proof readiness.
Perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, medians, altitudes, triangle inequalities, indirect proof, and reasoning about relationships inside triangles.
Angles of polygons, parallelograms, tests for parallelograms, rectangles, rhombi, squares, trapezoids, kites, and coordinate-plane classification.
Dilations, scale factor, similar polygons, AA/SSS/SAS similarity, triangle proportionality, parts of similar triangles, and preview of Pythagorean and special right-triangle reasoning.
The Get Ready Cohort is designed for first-quarter readiness. Students who want continued support for Quarter 2, homework, quizzes, tests, and long-term gap repair can continue into regular DUSD and PUSD-aligned tutoring.
Build the geometry, proof, and similarity habits needed for a confident start in Integrated Math 2.
Limited small-group format. DUSD & PUSD-aligned support. First-quarter readiness cohort only; ongoing support available through regular tutoring.
